Xi Jinping: High-quality production capacity such as lithium batteries has provided important support for the world's green development!

According to Xinhua News Agency, the 16th meeting of BRICS leaders was held in Kazan Convention and Exhibition Center on the morning of October 23rd local time. Russian President Vladimir Putin chaired the meeting. China President Xi Jinping, Brazilian President Lula (online), Egyptian President Seyce, Ethiopian Prime Minister Abi, Indian Prime Minister Modi, Iranian President PerZeh Zhan, South African President Ramaphosa, and UAE President Mohamed attended the meeting. 

Xi Jinping took part in a small-scale meeting first. Subsequently, Xi Jinping attended a large-scale meeting, made important comments on the future development of BRICS countries, and put forward five proposals. Xi Jinping emphasized that we should build "peaceful BRICS", "innovative BRICS", "green BRICS", "just BRICS" and "humanistic BRICS". 

In the process of building a "green BRICS", Xi Jinping emphasized that he should be a practitioner of sustainable development. China's high-quality production capacity in the fields of electric vehicles, lithium batteries and photovoltaic products has provided important support for the green development of the world. China is willing to expand cooperation with BRICS countries in the fields of green industries, clean energy and green minerals, so as to promote the "green" development of the whole industry chain, enrich the "green connotation" of cooperation and enhance the "gold content" of development.

According to customs data, in 2023, the cumulative export volume of domestic lithium batteries exceeded 150 GWh, an increase of over 60% year-on-year. Lithium batteries has become one of the "new three categories" of foreign trade exports this year.

At the same time, according to relevant reports, in 2023, the scale of foreign direct investment in electric vehicle-related industries in China may set a new record. Most of them are concentrated in the field of battery manufacturing in the middle reaches, and the related investments is as high as 22.4 billion US dollars, accounting for 79.4% of the investment in electric vehicles. In addition, in 2023, 13 lithium battery enterprises will set up factories overseas, with a year-on-year increase of 160% and a total investment exceeding 130 billion yuan.

Overseas has become an important market for the development of energy storage enterprises. At present, power lithium batteries and energy storage batteries are becoming the hot spots for China enterprises to go abroad.

In terms of energy storage, the top energy storage companies have accumulated more than 120 GWh of overseas orders. BYD's energy storage system products also shipped more than 14 GWh worldwide. At the same time, compared to emerging markets such as Europe, America, the Middle East, South America and South Africa, in recent years, well-known energy storage enterprises have been investing in South America and the Middle East.

By developing new energy sources, we can lay out the future development path, and the rapid development of the "new three types" going out at present is providing new development space for enterprises in China.
