The standard for battery-grade nickel sulfate is mainly based on "HG/T 5919-2021 Nickel Sulfate for Batteries". This standard specifies the classification, requirements, test methods, inspection rules, marking, labeling, packaging, transportation and storage of nickel sulfate for batteries.

Main technical requirements

Chemical purity: The nickel content of battery-grade nickel sulfate is usually required to be no less than 98.5%, and the sulfuric acid content is not more than 0.6%. The chemical purity must meet a higher standard.

Impurity content: The content of metal impurities (such as iron, copper, zinc, etc.) must be strictly controlled at a low level to ensure battery performance.

Physical properties: including particle size distribution, specific surface area, true density and crystal size, etc., requiring uniform particle size distribution, large specific surface area and appropriate crystal size.

Electrochemical properties: It must meet the stability requirements during battery charging and discharging.

Scope of application

This standard applies to nickel sulfate for batteries, mainly used in the production of battery materials such as lithium batteries.
