Lithium hydroxide: Estimated production of 19700 tons in December decreased by 5.1% compared to the previous month

On December 6th, it was reported that in November 2024, the output of lithium hydroxide from China's major manufacturers was about 20700 tons, down 3.3% from the previous month. The demand for ternary products is still weak, and the smelters produces according to orders. Some manufacturers have modified their flexible production lines to produce lithium carbonate, resulting in a decrease in the output of lithium hydroxide. Compared with the previous two months, the overall market discount coefficient has improved by 1-2 points. In December 2024, the estimated output of lithium hydroxide in China was 19,700 tons, down 5.1% from the previous month. Lithium hydroxide smelters continues to operate at the bottom operating rate, and some manufacturers' OEM orders are reduced. It is expected that the output will drop slightly in December.
